Allocation Analyst

An allocation analyst will be responsible a for optimizing inventory at a store location level, and will use data-driven analysis to determine the proper assortment of clothing and home goods needed at his or her specific location.  You will be required to make initial allocations, manage back-up orders, and monitor inventory replenishment all while reacting to business needs in order to boost productivity and profitability.

As you choose how to distribute merchandise by utilizing data on current sales trends and sales history, you will work closely with merchandising and planning partners to develop and execute merchandising strategies.  The allocation analyst will also be in charge of driving the clustering process and seizing in-season sales opportunities.

You will be required to maintain the vendor matrix and Location Ranging Tool, and optimize the number and size distribution of case packs.  A proficiency in RMS, SPO, APX, and other merchandising systems will be an asset as an allocation analyst.

The ideal merchandising and planning candidate will be passionate about solving problems, and bringing a positive mindset to the team and the workplace. The allocation analyst will be a mentally flexible individual with a knack for discovering creative ways to drive sales.

Strong time management and communication skills are required, as is experience in data analysis and retail allocation.  An aptitude for numbers will be essential to your success, and a bachelor’s degree in business, operations, finance, or the like is preferred.  Your charisma and your aggressive pursuit of new sales and allocation opportunities is crucial in merchandise planning and allocation.

The allocation analyst’s adaptable nature may not be solely utilized at the workplace.  You may be kicking around the idea of moving to Charlotte, North Carolina to work with our talented merchandising team.  Charlotte is a lively city with plenty to do.
