From the start, you will be involved in the creative process; from researching style trends, to working with the textile team to ensure that the fabric is a perfect match for the season and line. The Assistant Apparel Designer role is ideal for someone with a strong fashion sense who can translate merchant input into highly profitable product lines.
To succeed at this role, you will be a self-starter, have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and your time management will be a quality that you are known for. If you have an eye for design and the ability to analyze emerging trends in color, texture, and textile assortments to create a vision, you will be a stylish fit to a team who helps drive the consistency and financial success of the Belk clothing lines through the design process.
