As an Associate Technical Designer, you will be working at our corporate office in Charlotte. You will be assisting in the product development process of Private Label Brands, making sure that our merchandise matches our customers’ distinct senses of style. Along with serving as a liaison for numerous in-house teams for development and fit, you will also be the prime communicator of technical information. You will take part in fit sessions, aid in streamlining the sketching process, evaluate garments, and ensure size and fit consistency across each particular brand. Your role will also include offering innovative solutions that will help teams navigate around any product development issues that may arise.
To succeed as an Associate Technical Designer, you will need to be detail-oriented, and have excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills. This role will require you to be self-motivated with an engaging personality that will encourage cross-functional team members at Belk to meet company goals and standards. Your abilities to organize data and manage time will be crucial toward your success as an Associate Technical Designer. You will also be expected to measure garments and follow each product through its life-cycle.
