Brand Management
The Brand Management sector of Private Brands includes the development of brands, apparel design, and textile design. This area of the business is responsible for the conceptualization, design and management of Belk’s private brand labels. The teams that work in this department maintain our brand identities and customer segmentation through strategic planning and product assortment. The associates on the Brand Management teams are experts in their fields and have the autonomy to create and maintain our private label brands based on the overall creative vision. Overall, the Brand Management function will be responsible for the overall brand positioning including the look, feel and aesthetic of the brand. Sourcing
The Product Sourcing and Technical Design team are responsible for all aspects of Sourcing, Operations, Color & Product Integrity, and Technical Design. This team handles the production of private brand labels from initial concept sample through delivery. These associates interact with a variety of vendors to ensure we meet timelines while achieve quality and competitive pricing. Together with the Brand Management and Planning teams, this function will ensure we are producing our Private Brands in line with the strategic vision of the company.
