As a Sourcing Manager, you will be working at our corporate headquarters in Charlotte. You will be working with a dynamic team in order to produce quality, stylish garments for our Private Label Brands that align with our customers’ styles. You will be responsible for overseeing the production of specific brands from the formation of a concept through its fruition as a finished product. You will manage the brand and your team effectively and efficiently while ensuring that merchandise meets Belk’s high-quality and safety standards. You will work in partnership with our Brand Manager to ensure that our products promote our Southern attitude using a distinct, fashionable approach.
The prime candidate will be able to communicate effectively and personably with his/her team, other branches within the Belk structure, and vendors and agents overseas in order to be successful as a Sourcing Manager. A strong understanding of cost analysis and competitive market pricing will be necessary, as will be the ability to determine the vendor matrix. You will be responsible for following up with agents and vendors to meet quality standards and deadlines, and will also work collaboratively within a cross-functional team. You must be able to compute and analyze data, and will be responsible for the integrity of said data that is entered into the PLM. Along with the above, you will also need to have a strong working knowledge of product manufacturing techniques and costing in relation to each individual product line. You will be organized and have excellent communication skills, and will also be willing to travel both within the United States and abroad when required.
