The senior allocation analyst will be responsible for covering large, complex areas of business while using your strong knowledge of data-analysis driven allocation and inventory optimization to drive company profitability. You will help develop strategies by store to promote margins, react to changing market trends, and make initial allocations, back-up orders, and replenishment programs for brick-and-mortar Belk stores and eCommerce.
Your ability to analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and past selling history in order to develop distribution patterns is essential, as is your willingness to work with merchandising and planning partners to achieve prime inventory balance at each location.
The successful senior allocation analyst will be able to use a number of planning and merchandising programs such as LRT, SPO, APX, and RMS effectively, and will be responsible to communicating allocation matters consistently with merchandising partners and team members. You will develop seasonal and annual size profiles, implement hind sighting, and maintain the vendor matrix as well.
Belk’s open position as a senior allocation analyst may just be your perfect fit if you have a proven track record as an allocation analyst coupled a strong background in data-analysis. A bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or finance is preferred, as is your demonstrated capabilities of allocation and replenishment in complex business structures.
The prime merchandise planning and allocation candidate will be a charismatic problem-solver who enjoys finding new, unique ways to drive profit margins. A flexible mindset is essential in this job position, as are your excellent and effective verbal and written communication abilities. A strong aptitude for numbers will serve you well, and so will your aggressive pursuit to find the best allocation opportunities at a location level.
