Textile Designer

As a Textile Designer at our corporate headquarters in Charlotte, you will be joining a rapid-paced design team that is focused on creating high quality garments that match our customers’ distinctly Southern senses of style.  You will be responsible for the creation and development of all artwork, color palettes, and related materials for all Belk Private Brands lines.  You will immediately take on numerous responsibilities as our Textile Designer, which include managing the creative process, researching various markets for trends, and translating those trends into seasonal color standards. You will evaluate domestic and international markets while prioritizing all trend information, and will work with Brand Managers across the business to create brand-specific print and fabric stories.

A successful Belk Textile Designer will be a skilled design professional who has extensive textile design experience in the apparel industry.  The ideal candidate will also be able to improve processes within a textile development environment.  It will be imperative that you are familiar with creating artwork on the CAD system, and have experience using CDI/LEctra “U4ia” and an Iris 5030 printer.  The abilities to work both independently and collaboratively will be critical to your success in this role.  You will also be required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  A detail-oriented, organized individual will be the perfect fit for this stylish company.
